The Ecosmart Sustainable Alliance
Our Core Mission
The core mission of the Ecosmart Sustainable Alliance is to help our members harness the power of rigorous data collection and scientific research to discover, refine, and repeat optimized standard operating procedures (SOPs). In today’s highly competitive economic environment, we pool our collective knowledge and resources to empower a community of premium cannabis producers. Our ultimate objective is to achieve the highest quality production at the lowest possible cost.
By leveraging continuous innovation in building automation, sensor technology, and energy rebates, we equip our members with the tools necessary to sustain market competition and ensure long-term business sustainability.
True Sustainability: A Win-Win-Win Approach
At the Ecosmart Sustainable Alliance, we explicitly define sustainability as producing the highest quality cannabis with the most competitive cost structure. We believe that true operational excellence requires a rigorous, uncompromising commitment to a “win-win-win” model. This framework guarantees benefits across the board:
- The Consumer The consumers of the premium cannabis product enjoy uncompromised final flower excellence.
- The Cultivator The commercial farms investing in cultivation operations achieve maximum output protections and lowered energy overhead.
- The Environment The environment is preserved through the rigorous implementation of long-term, eco-friendly practices.
We refuse to compromise on any of these three requirements, meaning we maintain a rigorous, ongoing process of learning and discovery to achieve peak performance for all involved.
Collaborative Innovation and Research
-
1. SUNSCAPE Innovation Center
A cornerstone of our alliance is the Oregon-based SUNSCAPE Innovation Center. At this state-of-the-art facility, we actively develop, test, and prove best practices that are subsequently shared with our members. We dedicate this center to testing energy efficiency practices, building sensor and automation methods, and advanced hardware engineering—such as the water cooling of SUNSCAPE LED lights. Furthermore, we utilize this space to trial highly innovative cultivation methods across a vast variety of cannabis genetics to unlock the maximum potential of different cultivars.

2. The Knowledge Exchange Program
We invite commercial cannabis customers, both large and small, to join our Knowledge Exchange program through exclusive quarterly webinars. This platform allows members utilizing our data sensors to actively share best practices, engaging in rigorous data collection and the continuous discovery and refinement of SOPs. Together, our community explores actionable strategies to decrease energy costs while simultaneously increasing automation, yield, and overall product quality. To robustly support this exchange, SUNSCAPE dedicates its active software, marketing, and AI data analysis capabilities to provide comprehensive knowledge bases prior to, during, and after every webinar.

3. Research, Studies, and Academic Collaboration
To keep our alliance members at the cutting edge of controlled environment agriculture, our seminars actively review the latest academic research programs from leading scientific professors and universities. Furthermore, SUNSCAPE LED lighting clients are offered the exclusive option to participate directly in cultivation optimization studies. These collaborative studies are designed to identify how specific cultivars can be optimally grown, testing various methodologies—such as precise photoperiod adjustments—to maximize efficiency, yield, and genetic expression.
